March
All through the Winter months we were blessed with mild weather, which continued right on into March. As such, we were able to get all of our outside work done without interruption. Early in the month the house was wrapped in heavy black paper and "chicken" wire was attached for the stucco. We also had the garage doors installed, the power line into the house connected and Gyp-crete poured on the second floor.
We sold our beloved home on Cook Street in March. The price reflected current market conditions, so we just had to take a big gulp and move on. And move on we did! We rented a small place in North Denver and moved the majority of our "stuff" to storage in Poncha Springs. The guys who helped us move were great we connected with them at a "New Thought" level.

February
By now, the house was really starting to take shape. We were amazed by how quickly everything was moving along... and how smoothly. Other the some minor mis-steps and misunderstandings, we were working very well with our sub-contractors. They were all conscientious about their work, showed up when they said they would, and didn't leave the place in too much of a mess when they were done. I really started to get the sense that many of them felt a degree of professional "investment" in the project (maybe even personally since I've told just about everyone who's been involved with the project that they'd receive an invitation to the open house once we moved in!)
