Here's how the construction has progressed since November

These photos were all taken in December. A lot of time was spent preparing the foundation. At times, it seemed painfully slow and tedious. This was also when we received most of our winter weather, with some snow and lots of cold temperatures (although we've experienced some of that again in later March-early April).

This series begins with the continued preparation of the foundation after the walls were poured. Ron Davis began his work on the rough plumbing and heating, and I helped him put down the blue-board insulation (which, together with the Nadura foundation wall insulation, brings to about R-50 the insulation value of the foundation). On top of that, we layed down wire mesh that we attached the heating coils to. Attaching the coils was an adventure, and Ron, Dani and I completed that over a weekend when she was back for Christmas break.
